SOBER LIVING ENVIRONMENT
Town Houses on our main campus are used to provide a sober and safe environment for those who have completed their residential treatment but are at risk of relapse if they return too quickly to their home environment. This ancillary service provides a strong support which allows RTP graduates to begin their re-entry into society. Many SLE participants enter our Caltrans training program, get jobs in the community or attend college.

CRISIS RESPONSE SERVICES

This program, started in 1999, is funded by the Department of Mental Health to provide after-hours crisis response in the Fort Bragg/Mendocino coast area. Services begin at 5PM on weekdays and run until 8AM the following morning.  On weekends, and Holidays this service operates 24 hours a day.  In 2009 Ford Street began providing this service for the Ukiah/Willits area. Crisis workers utilize a call-in system to take crisis calls from residents in the community who are experiencing crises.  These problems may be resolved over the phone, or it may become necessary to do an assessment in a hospital setting. Access and use of this service is through the Department of Mental Health Crisis Unit and Crisis Line.

Representative Payee Program

This program involves the provision of financial services to SSI recipients with psychiatric disabilities.  Ford Street sub-contracts with a private representative payee who works directly with clients. This program has proven to be effective in assisting clients to meet specific financial obligations.
